Commodore Kate Kislevitz

Growing up in the U.K., I got the rowing bug admiring the Oxford crews practicing on the Thames.  They moved effortlessly. Little did I realize how much coordination, strength and commitment was involved. Fast forward a number of years, my oldest son Jacob and I visited the red barn to meet James Mangan.  That was it, we were hooked.  Jacob went on to row for Brown.   Sixteen years later I continue to be a member of the Saugatuck Rowing Club Masters competitive program.  I have participated in numerous Masters Nationals, Masters Worlds, and The Head of the Charles. I fully appreciate the dedication, team work and camaraderie that is at the heart of the sport of rowing
