SRC
has two dining areas for members and their guests. The RiverView
restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating for multi-course
gourmet meals overlooking the river. The Regatta Room café is
a more casual alternative, offering simple lunch salads, soups and
sandwiches. Both areas, along with a stone patio downstairs and a
terrace upstairs are available for special events. Overseeing the
kitchen staff is Executive Chef Daniel
Salomon, a graduate of the French Culinary Institute. Prior to SRC,
Salomon worked at Provence in New York before owning and co-owning
several restaurants in Fairfield County including Relish, a
restaurant in SoNo which The New York
Times gave an “Excellent” rating
to—one of two “excellents” they gave out in the year 2004. Chef
Salomon prides himself on preparing American food using French and
Italian techniques.
