Gail spent 7 years working in outpatient physical therapy as an exercise specialist; where she designed and implemented rehabilitation programs for orthopedic patients. Gail then went on to become the Wellness and Physiology Coordinator for The Sports Center at Chelsea Piers in New York City. In addition to personal training, Gail administered metabolic tests, was responsible for wellness programming, and ran an on-going Triathlon Training Camp. She joined the staff of Saugatuck Rowing Club in 2002. Gail is involved in every aspect of the clubs programming. She has taught novice rowing and was an instructor for the master’s rowing winter training program. Gail also teaches Group Exercise Classes and has a varied personal training clientele. She also administers metabolic tests. Currently, Gail also serves as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular in New York City.
Gail enjoys working with every fitness level. Her experience in rehabilitation makes her uniquely qualified to work with members who may have special needs or medical limitations. Her athletic background lends to working with novice to elite runners and triathletes competing at all distances.

Sandra has always had a strong interest in fitness. After completing her associates and internship, she went on to complete her ACSM- HFI, and AFAA Aerobics and Fitness instructor certifications, additionally she is certified in TRX Suspension training and Kettlebell Training.
Prior to joining SRC, Sandra worked The Wilton YMCA, as a personal trainer and Group exercise instructor.
Sandra enjoys working with individuals of all fitness levels. She specializes in women’s fitness, body weight training, high intensity programs, and rehab protocols.
Sandra grew up in Europe. She owned her own catering business for 12 years before transitioning to a career in Fitness. Sandra speaks more than one language, is fluent in Italian, Spanish. and Albanian.
As part of her fitness background, Sandra competed in 2 figure shows, combining a love of weight lifting and pageantry.
She loves food, music and cooking, and is the mother of 2 young kids.

After completing his training and certification in Personal Training and Nutritional counselling at NPTI, Anthony interned at The Darien YMCA.
He works full time as a Senior Deposit Operations Supervisor at the Bank of New Canaan and has been in personal banking since 2006.
Anthony enjoys developing individualized, periodized programs for clients to reach their goals efficiently and with a well-balanced program. He believes that incorporating dynamic movements, paired with strength, flexibility and aerobic are the components of an effective fitness program.
Anthony is a former Brien McMahon High School Varsity Football and Basketball player.
Currently he enjoys playing in a men’s softball league and touch football. He also enjoys obstacle endurance races and strength training.

Kirsten has been a fitness trainer since 1990 and has been working at the Saugatuck Rowing club since it opened in 2000. Kirsten teaches proper technique, injury prevention and strength building for speeding up the metabolism to burn more fat at rest. She also trains adults with the goal of preventing bone loss and physical decline that comes with aging and de-conditioning.

Fred brings over twenty-five year of experience to the fitness industry and enjoys sharing and teaching from his extensive personal experience. Fred has been a Rowing and Strength Coash at Saugatuck Rowing and Fitness for the last 13 years. Fred enjoys working with High School and College level athletes in addition to individuals looking to change how they look and feel.
Fred has a passion for sport specific training, yet has a well-rounded training style that can accommodate any client looking for guaranteed results. “I am looking forward to helping you achieve your personal goals. Setting a goal is good, achieving that goal is great.”
Fred enjoys practicing the martial art of Tang Soo Do (currently green belt) as well as keeping up with his three active children. His newest passion is recreational cycling. Speak to Fred if you are interested in training or riding in local cycling events.

After passing his training and certification in Personal Training and Nutritional counseling at NPTI, Robert started up his own in-home personal training company while holding a full time accounting position. Robert, following his passion for fitness, is now full time at SRFC training and counseling clients.
Robert also does soccer clinic coaching in the fall and spring, continuing to pursue his love for soccer.
Robert believes in a strong body leads to a strong mind. With an individual’s goals, he designs a periodization program specific to each client by incorporating exercises that the client finds enjoyable but that are progressive. He believes in consistently engaging the core musculature through various exercises, challenging the stabilization of the client.
Robert is a former Norwalk High School Varsity Soccer Captain and was also the captain of his former multi-year State Championship Travel Soccer Team.
Robert’s passion for soccer followed him to college where he co-founded an intramural soccer team that has won the intramural championship at Quinnipiac every year since the team was founded.

Starting her career out of college in Corporate Fitness and Wellness, Debbie has over 20 years in the industry.
Calling SRC home since the inception of the club in 2000, she has trained hundreds of clients in all aspects of fitness, including but not limited to strength & training and corrective exercises. She is a Certified Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor here at SRFC. She has specialty certifications in Brains and Balance over 60, Corrective Exercises and Physical Therapy Aide.
Debbie enjoys working with individuals of all fitness levels. She believes that anyone can improve their fitness level no matter what their physical condition or limitations may be.
With a keen eye for imbalances, restrictions and profound ability to explain techniques and movements clearly, she is able to create a program that works for each individual, their goals and lifestyle while keeping them engaged.
Debbie enjoys keeping an active lifestyle, traveling, photography & spending time outdoors! She can be found participating in various sports such as competitive rowing, cycling, trail running and golf. When not outside, the kitchen is her next favorite place, creating, experimenting and coming up with healthy and clean meals for her family.
