The club’s energies are devoted to providing the membership the highest quality rowing, fitness and eventful experience a club can provide with no exceptions. Our success is owed to our membership. In turn we continue to re-invest in the club and offer a first rate destination for all.

Set on the shores of the Saugatuck River in Westport CT, the Saugatuck Rowing Club and Fitness Center is a world-class rowing and fitness club with exceptional dining and special event facilities. The club offers extensive rowing programs for all levels.

While living in Philadelphia, I used to run along Boathouse Row. I became attracted to the beauty and rhythm of the sport. The sound of blades going in and out of the water was hypnotic and so I decided I must try this. I love the way this sport challenges the mind and body all at once. When I joined SRC, I met with SRC’s Director of Fitness. I think he looked at me and said here is someone I can sink my teeth into. My goals revolved around weight loss, increased cardio development and generalized stress reduction. In a little under one year, I have gone from 205 lbs. to 175 lbs. I feel great and am looking to really step it up. I believe that there is no substitute for the private tutelage and inspiration a fitness professional can provide. 5:30 a.m. three times a week would be out of the question unless I knew that someone was there waiting for me.
